¶This is really cool…and exciting. Combining this huge advance in protein structure prediction with the development and deployment of mRNA vaccines, 2020 will eventually be viewed as the starting point of multiple revolutions in biology and medicine. Exciting times for sure.

¶Trump doesn’t realize he’s on a Laffer curve with respect to his continued insistence that he won the election due to widespread voter fraud. And he’s past the apex (way past it, in my mind) - he thinks he’s garnering more respect from his base by continuing the act, but he’s actually losing it with each tweet and temper tantrum.

¶If DOJ had found any evidence, you better believe Barr would have paraded it across all media. Trump’s continued insistence that the evidence is out there - and so much of it! - has become comical.

¶We’re all missing some of our favorite things right now. There’s a group of old guys that are missing their favorite Sunday morning hangout - MaMa C’s in Maumee, which happens to be our favorite donut shop. I miss catching bits of their conversation when I stop in to get our dozen. Hopefully they’re still working on the world’s problems from home.

Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid vaccine shows an average 70% effectiveness in preventing the virus (cnbc.com)
¶More promising vaccine news…and a great example of the tendency of the media to focus on any negative angle of a story. AstraZenaca tested two dosing regimens, which, when averaged, showed an effectiveness of 70%. One regimen, which will likely be used when their vaccine is rolled out, showed 90% effectiveness. So…what’s the real headline here?
