¶Denny and Pat closed on the sale of their Gulf Winds condo the other day, marking the end of their 46 years there. An end of an era for the family for sure.

¶I always enjoy The Drive from Toledo to St. Pete. We started today at about 4:30, and just finished breakfast at our usual McDonald’s in Florence. First shift down, several more to go.

¶Finally picking up my car after a two week service appointment. Tesla has been fantastic through the whole thing. Just paid (through the app, of course) and am now waiting while they juice me up a bit before heading to work.

¶Teddy graduated from introductory obedience class today. Of six dogs that started the class, three remained today—six weeks later. He made it! And he (and we) learned quite a bit in the process. Now we’ve got to keep at it. He starts the introductory class in a few weeks.

¶Jake started his first job today. He’s working at Fremont Airport, helping out with a little bit of anything that comes up. I’m a bit jealous - not only has he found something he truly loves, but his first job, at sixteen, is directly related to it. He could spend his entire work life in the field he loves. Lucky guy.

¶I stopped on the way home to check in on the progress of the guitar project. The glue is cured and the clamps are off. The body looks and feels good. The perimeter is sanded and rounded over and the pocket for the pickup is cut. Controls will be cut next. Here, Jonathan and Grandpa Denny are starting to plan the neck.

¶Teddy had obedience class tonight. He did fairly well with the tasks, but was a bit of a goofball overall, playing the class clown to some degree. One more class to go—I’ll miss these, and I think he will too.

¶It’s been almost a year since I moved to the new firm, but I still feel like I’m getting used to the place. The physical place—the office. We had some storms roll through today and it felt like the first time I had seen that from this view. I don’t know if it is or not, but it felt new to me. And it was actually nice, too. Rain on the river.
