¶Just took Teddy for a walk around the neighborhood here in St. Pete. We got him a longer leash and that seems to help with the pulling....a bit. More work to be done, though.

¶Lions led by a point with about two minutes left in the game. Surely they were set up to follow the script, I thought. But no! They finished strong, killing the would-be game winning drive by sacking Justin Fields, ending his otherwise brilliant performance on the day. Totally off script for the Lions. Great win.

¶We succumbed to the pressure tonight and had Cane’s chicken for dinner. I waited for about an hour in the drive-through, which, actually, wasn’t that bad. Orderly at least. We were underwhelmed with the food. The fries are nothing short of horrible, and the chicken nothing special. There’s not much else on the menu (it really boils down to a question of how many strips you want; even the chicken sandwich is a few strips in a bun), so I doubt we’ll be heading back anytime soon. At least they built a nice looking restaurant.

¶Fall has definitely arrived, and I can feel winter approaching. My body is somehow aware of the change without my mind giving it much thought—I reached for warmer clothes this morning while getting ready for work without even glancing at the forecast.
¶I also fired up my under-desk space heater as soon as I arrived at the office. Unlike the seemingly automatic reaching for a sweater, my decision to use the space heater was, most definitely, intentional.
