A Blurry Venture

I tried capturing some photographs with the SD780 on the way into the office this morning. The hack (CHDK) seems to have slowed it down a bit…the camera captures the image a second or two after you press the shutter button. I was stopped at a traffic light when I pressed the shutter button for this capture. I think I started moving right afterward, and the camera captured the image once I was underway, making it a bit blurry.

I drive past this parked car every day. The garage door just out of frame has a “No Parking” sign on it. I wanted to capture that with the car, but forgot I had the camera zoomed all the way in. So…I missed it. This little camera is tricky.

A detour has me passing this house every day. Abandoned? Hard to tell.

The reason for the detour.

Our parking garage is blocked today, so we have to park in the lot across the street. The Ohio state flag is still at half mast for Pope Francis.

Shipping season is underway! I was happy to see the Northern Venture leaving port this afternoon, as I think it’s a sign we’ll see more shipping traffic on the river soon. We’ve got such a nice view in the office. This just never gets old for me.

As I tracked the Norther Venture leaving port, I noticed this little boat on the left waiting patiently for her to pass.
