A Day at Sea with Donald Duck
¶I recorded this on our veranda during our last day at sea. It’s a couple of undisturbed minutes of the sounds of the ocean, recoded somewhere in the North Atlantic as we headed from Puerto Rico to the Bahamas. I recorded it at about 9:40 AM (Eastern). Visually, everything was perfect - sunshine and nothing but the ocean around us.

¶Renee didn’t like her first choice, “the blue one.” I don’t remember what it was, but one sip was enough for her to know she didn’t like it. Coincidentally, one sip of my espresso martini was enough for her to know she did like that. Very much, actually. “The blue one” was promptly abandoned and Renee received her own espresso martini minutes later.

¶We had a character greeting with Donald Duck before dinner. We were secretly hoping for Mickey, but Donald was a lot of fun. He liked my striped shirt.
