If there’s a car show, Jake and Denny will find it. Tonight we had dinner at Quaker Steak and Lube in St. Petersburg…solely because the restaurant hosts Larry’s Car Show every Thursday evening. I was a little worried the turnout would be low in light of the heat, but they had plenty of great cars and a decent amount of lookers, too. Great show!

This was my favorite car of the show – a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Beautiful car!

I mean look at that interior. And those lines…that dip behind the door reminds me of the lines on the Spitfire. Perhaps Triumph was inspired by the lines of the Bel Air. I’ve never noticed that on the 1957 Chevy before.

Sunset will occur tonight at 08:15 PM. My sunsetter script is set to take a photo at that time and at six deviation times.

Renee and I just got back from floating in the ocean for a bit. The water is still a bit warm, hot even when you first get in. It seems to want to cool down – every cloud that passes overhead gives an immediate and noticeable drop in temperature. I even hit a cold patch, once. Waves were back today, too, which was nice.

Now back to the pool.
